Accessibility Statement for www.insiemeate.org

This accessibility statement has been drafted in accordance with Directive (EU) 2016/2102 and the technical standard UNI CEI EN 301549:2022, which define the accessibility requirements for websites and mobile applications of public administrations and entities providing services of public interest.

Compliance status

The website www.insiemeate.org is partially compliant with the accessibility requirements set out in WCAG 2.1 level AA, due to the presence of some minor non-conformities that do not compromise the overall usability of the content. Ongoing improvements are being implemented.

Requirements met

The website has undergone a detailed technical and manual evaluation, based on the 50 WCAG 2.1 AA criteria harmonised with the UNI CEI EN 301549:2022 standard. The checks confirmed compliance, among others, with the following requirements:

  • Coherent and meaningful semantic structure of headings (H1–H6)
  • Keyboard navigation available across all website areas
  • Adequate colour contrast between text and background
  • Alternative text provided for meaningful images
  • Clear and associated labels for all form fields
  • Social links made accessible via screen reader-friendly text content
  • Dynamic content (e.g. videos, forms) includes identifying attributes compatible with assistive technologies
  • Correct use of HTML5 semantic landmarks for assistive navigation
  • Custom controls with proper labels and ARIA roles
  • Logical focus order aligned with DOM structure
  • Absence of focus traps
  • Off-screen content correctly hidden from assistive technologies
  • Focus is correctly managed when dynamic content is displayed

Given the technical complexity of some issues and the wide range of variables involved, isolated elements may exist that are unintentionally non-compliant, despite our commitment to maintaining a high standard of accessibility.

Non-accessible content

  • Videos without subtitles: the site currently includes videos that do not feature subtitles.
  • Elements dynamically generated by third-party services (e.g. Google reCAPTCHA, YouTube embeds, security tools):
    • may temporarily lack accessible attributes (e.g. title, label)
    • are either invisible to users or not interactive
    • do not interfere with website navigation or usability
  • Non-accessible PDFs: some published PDF documents (e.g. posters, invitations, promotional materials) are primarily graphical and do not comply with accessibility criteria. Where possible, a textual alternative or summary is provided on the relevant page. Download links clearly indicate the nature of the file.
  • Link groups generated by external plugins (e.g. cookie banners): not always marked up as lists but remain accessible and understandable.
  • Link purpose not always clear from text alone: in some cases, the purpose of a link may not be entirely self-explanatory. Work is ongoing to improve clarity and contextual relevance.
